Production Manager Full Time

Summary:

As the Production Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop and support a global sourcing strategy that aligns with the product development and bulk production execution of multiple categories, ensuring they meet the brand’s high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the manager and design team on a seasonal basis to ensure the company has the appropriate vendor mix to support product design and innovation.
• Communicating seasonal category strategies to the team, vendors, developers, and buyers, focusing on samples and development that align with the sourcing strategies.
• Providing recommendations for sourcing raw materials and garment development.
• Managing the sampling timeline and action calendar to meet key milestones and monitoring on-time delivery of development samples.
• Utilizing a cost matrix by category during proto-plan discussions to guide raw material selection and style development, meeting category cost and margin goals.
• Maintaining and reporting on accurate and organized information regarding order information against sales and replenishment.
• Leading and directing the workforce in problem identification, problem-solving, and implementing continuous improvement measures.
• Cultivating a one-team environment and structure that fosters individual and team performance, mentoring, feedback, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Coaching and assigning workloads to individual production associates.
• Maintaining production workflow trackers and capacity planning in a format that can be viewed and understood company-wide.
• Conducting production meetings with divisions, managing delivery status, and ensuring production progresses smoothly to meet shipment deadlines.
• Strengthening and optimizing current production processes and systems while recommending appropriate solutions.
• Troubleshooting to resolve issues in development and production, including technical challenges, and providing viable solutions.
• Managing quality control and ensuring that all garments meet Lulus’ standards.
• Cooperating with the manager to establish goals that improve department processes and procedures, delivering high-quality products on time while exceeding financial objectives.

Qualifications:

• Over 7 years of experience in Apparel Domestic/Import production.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Apparel/Textile Design, Manufacturing, Product Development, Merchandising, or a related field.
• Strong communication, presentation, time management, attention to detail, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of production, including manufacturing, product engineering, product lifecycle, calendar management, trade regulations, fabric performance, garment construction, and testing standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
